Vice President, Americas Sales
Larry Hoelzeman was appointed Vice President of Sales, North America in 2006 and Vice President, Worldwide Sales in 2011. A 21-year veteran in the high performance computing industry, he has served in a variety of sales and presales roles at Cray Research, Inc., Silicon Graphics, Inc. and Cray. Mr. Hoelzeman received a B.S. in computer science from the University of Central Arkansas.
President, Cray Japan
Mamoru Nakano joined Cray in 2005 as President of Cray Japan. Previously, he served as General Manager for high performance computing and Linux in Japan and Asia-Pacific for Hewlett-Packard Company. Mr. Nakano started his career with Mitsubishi Heavy Industry, Ltd. in a research position followed by a series of increasingly responsible management positions in Japan with Digital Equipment Corporation and its subsequent parent company, Compaq Computer Corporation (before the latter was acquired by Hewlett-Packard). His management experience includes sales, marketing and service in the technical computing market.
Robert (Bob) Pencek
Director, Intelligence Accounts
Bob Pencek joined Cray in 2006 as Director of the Cray intelligence business. Previously, he worked at Silicon Graphics Federal Inc. as the Director of Strategic Relationships where he managed the executive relationship with a major U.S. systems integrator. Prior, Mr. Pencek led a team of more than 100 presales technical engineers as the Director of North America Systems Engineering Corporation. He also served in a number of sales, technical and engineering roles at Silicon Graphics, Inc. and Westinghouse Electric Corporation. He holds a B.S. in electrical engineering and an M.S. in computer science from Johns Hopkins University.
Vice President, Asia-Pacific South
Andrew Wyatt joined Cray in 2007 as Vice President for Asia-Pacific (excluding Japan). In his 30-year career in high performance computing, he has had postings in India, China, Korea, Singapore and Taiwan and held positions with Cray Research, Inc. as Director of its Australia subsidiary, Silicon Graphics, Inc. as Asia-Pacific Director for HPC Strategic Relationships and with GEIS/Honeywell Inc. in sales and marketing. Mr. Wyatt has also held positions with the SAS Institute, Inc. as the Australian Academic Program Director and with Ringier Trade Publishing in Shanghai, China as Director of Conferences and Events. Mr. Wyatt received a degree in civil engineering from Monash University.
