Information Collection and Use
Our primary goals in collecting personally identifiable information are to provide you with the services made available through the Site and to communicate with you.
Access to the Site does not generally require registration. However, if you desire to have access to certain restricted sections of the Site, you may be required to fill out a registration form and to submit certain personally identifiable information to Cray. This may happen in a number of instances, such as when you sign up for our webinars or to receive white papers or other materials, or send inquiries regarding our products or services. Personally identifiable information collected in such instances may include your user name, password, email address, physical address, telephone number, your company’s name, products or services of interest, and other similar information. We will keep a record of such information, and may use your contact information to contact you in response to your inquiries, and to send you information regarding the Site and/or our products or services. If you decide at any time that you no longer wish to receive such information or communications from us, you may opt out by using the mechanism available on the Site, or by following the unsubscribe instructions provided in any of our communications to you.
When you visit the Site, our servers automatically record information that your browser sends whenever you visit a website (“Log Data”). Log Data may include information such as your IP address, browser type or the domain from which you are visiting, the web pages you visit and the search terms you use. For most users accessing the Internet from an Internet service provider, the IP address will be different every time you log on. Except in the instances described herein, we do not use this information to identify you personally. We use it to monitor use of the Site and our service, and for the technical administration of the Site.
Information Sharing and Disclosure
Resellers and Partners. We may share your personally identifiable information with our resellers and partners, and such resellers and partners may use your information to market our products and services.
Service Providers. We may engage certain trusted third parties to perform functions and provide services to us, including, without limitation, hosting and maintenance services, customer relationship services, including service providers that may use your information to market our products and services, and database storage and management services. We will share your personally identifiable information with these third parties, but only to the extent necessary to perform these functions and provide such services, and only pursuant to binding contractual obligations requiring such third parties to maintain the confidentiality of your data.
Compliance with Laws and Law Enforcement. Cray cooperates with government and law enforcement officials or private parties to enforce and comply with the law. We may disclose any information about you to government or law enforcement officials or private parties as we, in our sole discretion, believe necessary or appropriate to respond to claims and legal process (including subpoenas); to protect the property and rights of Cray or a third party, or the safety of the public or any person; to prevent or stop any illegal, unethical or legally actionable activity; or to comply with the law.
