We are seeking a Linux Kernel Lead Developer to join our team.  In this role you will be responsible for the following: 

•	Lead developer for kernel-level software in Cray's next generation systems
•	Oversee and contribute to the design and implementation in all areas of the kernel stack
•	Work closely with other software leads to ensure Cray's customer needs are met
•	Set priorities and work with management to meet internal and external delivery deadlines
•	Work with development, build, test and CI groups to integrate software into Cray's test and release process
•	Lead and mentor staff under your guidance

Key Qualifications include:

•	BS in Computer Science
•	Minimum of 10 years of experience in kernel development
•	Minimum of 5 years of experience in networking software
•	Minimum of 5 years in a technical lead position
•	Excellent communication skills, including experience writing formal documentation and giving presentations to internal and external audiences
•	An understanding of high performance computing architectures. 
•	Understanding of the HPC industry highly desirable.
•	Experience working with Linux, including kernel, utilities, installation, administration, etc.
•	Experience in operating system internals and software architecture methodologies. 
•	Experience in systems performance analysis and tuning. 
•	Experience with the OpenFabric Interfaces working group and APIs highly desirable
•	Demonstrated technical leadership. 
•	Self-motivated.
•	Completes tasks on time with and without supervision. 
•	Ability to work in a team environment with others of varying skill levels. 
•	Excellent communication skills.
•	Ability to communicate information and ideas so others can understand. 
•	Success working in a fast-paced, changing environment; strong sense of urgency
•	Periodic travel may be required
