Who We Need?

Cray is seeking a motivated and skilled software engineer to join its team of software developers in the programming environment debugging tools group. This position includes both significant research and product development activities, as Cray continues to advance the state of the art of its debugging tools software for large-scale parallel systems.

Responsibilities:

In this position, you will work on designing, implementing, testing, debugging, tuning, and maintaining the Cray debugging tools for high performance, parallel computer systems. You will work closely with developers from the compiler and message passing software groups to create complete solutions for large-scale parallel systems.

Key Qualifications include:

•	BS in Computer Science or related field. Advanced degrees are welcome.
•	Background in high performance computing (HPC) architectures, including multiprocessors, distributed memory systems, and GPU accelerators, is desired.
•	Proficiency writing in C/C++ is required, and familiarity with Linux or Unix software development 
•	Experience with the DWARF debugging data format is a plus.
•	Experience with LLVM and building tools on top of LLVM a plus.
•	Experience with scalable network programming techniques (e.g., using sockets API) is desired.
•	Commitment to sound software engineering principles, outstanding problem-solving skills, ability to work well in a cooperative development environment, both within and across teams, and good written and verbal communications skills.
